MotoGP’s second Sepang test is in the books with defending champion Marc Marquez topping the timesheets.
The Repsol Honda rider responded to a dismal first day – he was hampered by brake problems – by setting the fastest laps for the following two days. His top time was a scorching 1:59.115. Jorge Lorenzo (Movistar Yamaha) was second fastest, 0.322 seconds back, while Cal Crutchlow (CWM LCR Honda) rounded out the top three, 0.543 seconds behind. For full test results, click here.
“I’m happy because this morning we set a good lap,” Marquez said, “but mostly I am pleased that we have completed all the work we had left pending from the first day. We have accomplished all the objectives we had set for this test, and now at the Qatar test our work will be more focused on the Grand Prix and fine tuning the setup of the bike.”
