Recall: Triumph Daytona 675

By Cycle CanadaPosted on

Triumph has issued a recall on their 2011 − 2012 Daytona 675 models. The issue has to do with part of the motorcycle’s wiring harness potentially touching the exhaust and burning. Full details from Transport Canada below.

Transport Canada Recall # 2011365

Manufacturer Recall #433

Recall Details

On certain motorcycles, the wiring harness for the evaporative purge valve could contact the exhaust and become damaged. This could result in an electrical short, which could cause the Engine Control Module fuse to fail, and the engine to stall. Engine stalling would result in lost vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road condition, and the rider’s reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, reposition the wire harness.
