Erik Buell Racing Releases Their First Street Bike, the 1190RS

By Cycle CanadaPosted on

After unveiling the prototype of their first road-going supersport back in February, Erik Buell Racing (EBR) has now made the 1190RS available for pre-order on their website. The website also shows that the boutique manufacturer has plans for RX, SX and AX models in the future, though there is no indication of what they’ll be.

Derived from its 1190RR race-ready big brother, the svelte 1190RS weighs in at just 176 kg (dry), claims 175 hp and features an Ohlins front fork, rear TTX shock and a purpose-built EBR braking system. EBR is only producing a limited run of 100 units of the 1190 RS, each priced at USD $39,999. A carbon fibre edition is also available for another $4,000.
