Anyone recently visiting the Yamaha Canada website will have noticed an ominous clock counting down days, hours and minutes, without any explanation of its purpose.
This intentional teaser has had many speculating the reason for the countdown, and offering up their best guesses in the process.
Well, here is our take on the conundrum: on June 4th, 2008, Yamaha will unveil its much anticipated and long awaited successor to the V-Max.
We’ll have to wait for official specifications, but expectation has been very high for the replacement of the original power cruiser. A massive V-4 motor, around 1800 c.c. in size, is hoped for by V-Max aficionados. The wish list continues that it should put out around 200 hp, enough to make the 2009 V-Max the world’s quickest production motorcycle, regaining an honour once held by the very first V-Max when it was introduced almost a quarter century ago.
Stay tuned, the clock is ticking.
