2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R Having Technical Difficulties

By: Cycle Canada Published on 13 December 2010

Kawasaki USA has put a “technical hold” (aka a recall) on the 2011 ZX-10R. The Japanese manufacturer gives no details on what the problem(s) is with its all-new superbike, but the company is shipping all unsold units back to the warehouse and asking that those who’ve already taken delivery of a 2011 ZX-10R to return their bikes for a full refund with the promise that they’ll be among the “first to have the option of receiving a new unit once the technical hold has been lifted.”

It seems the recall only pertains to the United states, (UK websites are reporting that they have confirmed the recall does not affect Europe) but we’ve yet to receive clarification from Kawasaki Canada as to whether the technical hold applies here. We’ll update you as soon as possible.
