Honda CBR125 Revised for 2011

Honda’s smallest sport bike has undergone its first revision since being released in Canada four years ago, and the result is a machine that the company hopes will feel even more like a full-size motorcycle than its predecessor. The CBR125R’s 17-inch wheels now wear 100/80 (front) and 130/70 (rear) tires, compared to the 80/90 and 100/80 sizes of the previous model. Seat height has been raised slightly, and the wheelbase is 20 mm longer. New digital instrumentation includes a fuel gauge, clock and odometer/trip meter. Fuel tank capacity is up to 13 litres from the previous 10, and curb weight is now 136.9 kg, which is 10 kg heavier than before. There is no claimed power increase for the single-cylinder engine, so perhaps some of the gained weight can be mitigated by a rider in full tuck behind the new, more streamlined bodywork. The 2011 CBR125R will be available in black or silver metallic. Pricing is TBA.
