This SPORTSTER “HAND ON THE TORCH” is a scrambler motorcycle with a lot of rhythm and customized by Francisco Ali Manen and his team at Lord Drake Kustoms in Vélez Málaga (SPAIN).
At the request of his client, Fran Manen (Owner of LDK) was commissioned to make this Harley Davidson scrambler but on this occasion, inspired by a very special theme… The cover of an music album by a jazz rap band called US3.
The name of the chosen album is “HAND ON THE TORCH” (hence the name of this sportster scrambler); an album belonging to the jazz and hip-hop fusion group Us3 and featuring a very colorful cover on a cream or beige background. And it was precisely at this point where the client indicated that, instead of cream or beige for the background, he preferred white.
The Harley Davidson Sportster “HAND ON THE TORCH” is a custom motorcycle made on an XL 883 low and in which the motorcycle transformation base of the famous BULTRACKER and SOULBREAKER models that Lord Drake Kustoms usually uses in his motorcycle work has been used. Customizing Harley motorcycles with scrambler style.
The 2-in-1 RSD tracker exhaust along with fat spoke rims (BIG SPOKE) for Harley, are as usual some of the characteristic components of these models and of course the 1-inch BMW handlebar, the motogadget mini odometer integrated into the towers of the handlebar.
The fenders, license plate holder and spoiler are handcrafted by LDK. And the front suspension has been modified, to which upper covers have also been installed (on which the name “HAND ON THE TORCH” has been painted) and in the rear part nothing more and nothing less than a pair has been mounted. of OHLINS shock absorbers for Sportster.
Finally, a spectacular paint job inspired by the album cover with different colors such as blue, orange, red and green on a white background has been used on the two fenders, gas tank and also on the number holders. The GMR graphics and the number 411 are two other details airbrushed on the gas tank and the number holders at the customer’s request.
Other parts of the bike have been painted in black and white with gold details, such as the front suspension legs or the rear swingarm.
The Harley Davidson Sportster “HAND ON THE TORCH”, once it was completed by Lord Drake Kustoms, has ended up in the hands of its owner and is surely now rolling through the streets at full speed thanks to the brutal sound of its exhausts that They are music…Although not exactly jazz or hip-hop!
