USA DEBUTS THIS EXTRAORDINARY RACING LEVEL SERVICE FOR THE MOST DEDICATED AND DEMANDING MOTORCYCLISTS
NEW YORK, 15 May 2018 – Aprilia is among the most successful brands in the history of sport motorcycling, today engaged in the MotoGP and WSBK championships. Successful experience in racing has brought to life iconic Aprilia motorcycles characterized by cutting-edge technological solutions, directly derived from those that Aprilia Racing constantly develops for competition.
Performance and specialization levels of this caliber require highly qualified skills. To this accord, Aprilia has launched the Aprilia Racing Certified Dealer program, a new certification dedicated to further enhance the Aprilia sales and service network. The program is created with direct support of Aprilia Racing, the most advanced technological platform of the Piaggio Group.
Set to debut in the US market, the program will then be extended globally and is designed to ensure top-level service to all customers who want to maximize the potential of their Aprilia, turning to certified dealers to optimize the set-up, to configure it for track use – exclusive or occasional – with the ability to be equipped with the various performance components developed specifically by Aprilia Racing as well as for the normal routine maintenance cycle.
In order to obtain certification, dealer technicians will participate in a specific training program, with courses that include diversified focus on electronics, chassis and engine. They will be the engineers of the Department of Racing Noale – the same ones engaged in the competitions at the highest level as MotoGP and WSBK – to hold classes, providing their experience and the invaluable know how of a racing department among the most successful in history of motorcycling with 54 world titles to his credit.
Aprilia Racing Certified Dealers will also be able to join the Factory Works program, which includes special performance kits dedicated to the RSV4 to makes improvements on the engine, weight and aerodynamics, as well as the different versions of Aprilia RSV4 “Factory Works”, developed according to the regulations of the Superstock and Superbike championships of the various countries, with different levels of cycling, electronics and engine preparation. The pinnacle of the project is represented by the FW-GP version, equipped with the V4 engine with a bore of 81 mm, and equipped with pneumatic valve distribution, a configuration similar to that which Aprilia officially raced in the 2015 MotoGP World Championship, which brings maximum power to touch 250 hp.
The close tie of the Aprilia Racing certified dealers with the world of competitions will not be realized only through a highly specialized and top-quality service but will also be highlighted through other activities dedicated to customers, such as entering the paddock in a World Championship stage. MotoGP, participation in a track event on the Aprilia Racers Days calendar, and exclusive guided tours of the Aprilia Racing Department at Noale.
The North American market will begin the first of the global training sessions, taking place following World Superbike at Laguna Seca, Monday June 25 in Carmel, CA.
