The American Motorcyclist Association has announced the 2013 Pro Flat Track schedule. This year sees 14 events confirmed and three additional races that are still to be confirmed.
The season starts during bike week festivities in Daytona, Florida on the weekend of March 14th – 15th. Races will be run on a quarter-mile oval just outside the superspeedway.
Races will then run From May through September, touring across the US with two short-track races, two Tourist Trophy races, and the remaining 10 events split eveny between half-miles and mile events.
If you have never been to a flat track race, especially a mile, make this the year you see one. This elemental form of motorcycle racing is fast, close and graceful. The action-packed races, with the entire track visible from the grandstand, make for one of the best forms of motorcycle racing to watch live.
