Gold Wing Tips

By: Uwe Wachtendorf Published on 23 April 2008

Do you ever find yourself reluctant to go for a ride because the nasty gear lever on your bike is likely to scratch the patent leather of your Gucci wingtips? Well there’s good news for well-heeled fashionistas with a penchant for things two wheeled. The chic Italian firm Tucano Urbano has not one, but two types of shoe protectors designed to prevent a metal shifter from damaging your shoes.

The 313 Shoe Protector fastens to your shoe with Velcro tabs and has a reinforced leather area meant to take the brunt a shifter’s sharp edges. The other option is to cover the shifter itself with the Foot On 314, a small washable boot that secures to the shifter with an Allen key.

Granted these items will probably be panned by many riders, but for urbanites that want to use their bikes to make the daily jaunt to the office, you’ll find more information at: http://www.tucanourbano.com.
